Scrub off

You might think that scrubbing is only for the skin and that there are no dead skin cells around your lips. Well, contrary to that, there is. You can scrub everyday before putting on make-up. The best time to do this would be after you brush your teeth. Grab your toothbrush and just gently run it over your lips. Lips are one of the first things that the opposite sex notices. Lips in natural colors, like pink and even red, are popular turn-ons. So if you don't want to keep on re-applying lipstick, stop smoking. Smoking not only discolors teeth but also the lips. So just quit.

However, there will be instances when people are just born with darker lips. You could try products that have licorice extracts or any lightening lip balms or gloss. They may also be used for the nipples and elbows. Use lip balms with SPF to avoid further darkening.

There is a wide variety of lip balms available nowadays. All promise different results but for everyday use, choose lip-conditioning balms with SPF.

For treatments, you may use the ones that specialize on repairing under different weather conditions. You could use them anywhere, especially if you are fond of traveling to different places. There are also lip balms that work best overnight. They usually give fast results in repairing your lips.

A newcomer is the lip-plumping balm. If you want lips like that of Angelina Jolie, then you should get this one. You will feel a stinging sensation making your lips swell, definitely not comfortable.

Lip gloss - used to shine lips; may also come tinted usually in sweet shades of pink

Lipsticks - colors the lips and available in every shade you could imagine
