How To Upgrade Your Intuition To Broadband

If you're like most people I know, the idea of having free-flowing intuition and using it in every aspect of your life feels like a pipe dream.

I mean, come on - you may believe it's possible for some people, but do you really believe it's possible for you?

When I started learning about my own intuition (because I wasn't one of those "I was always intuitive; I was born wide open" people), I had a few role models to watch. And I marveled at how their intuition seemed to be "always on" - it wasn't a stop-and-check-in affair for them; it was as if they had multiple computer screens in front of them, each showing a different chunk of reality, and they could pick and choose what they were looking at at any given time.

So I practiced. And practiced. And I would get some pieces of information that I could run with. But that's just it - I would tune in and get something, and then go on with life. My role models, however, were in "always on" mode.

I beat myself up a lot for it. And I bet if you're a beginner in the world of intuition, you probably beat yourself up for it, too. "I should be faster", or "I should be better than this", or "Geez, this takes forever - I stink worse than day-old fish."

But don't worry - be happy. Happy? Happy that you stink worse than stale tuna? Sure - because you won't stink like that forever, if you know what to look out for.

Divine Broadband

Accessing your intuition in the beginning is like trying to listen to an audio file on dial-up versus broadband: if you've got a dial-up internet connection, then it's like this:

1. Click the link.
2. The download begins.
3. When it's done - an hour later - you listen to it.

But if you've got broadband (DSL, cable, satellite, whatever), then it's like this:

1. Click the link.
2. Listen to it as it streams into your computer.

My intuitive experience (and yours, too, I'm betting) started as "dial-up." Connect, listen... get something... and then act on it. Ask, wait, receive, act. Painfully slow.

But, as time went on, and I got comfortable (and refined my process), it became more like "broadband." Connect and receive, while acting on it. Real-time. Streaming divine video.

The old days, and upgrades

Remember when you first started with the internet (assuming you've been around a while...)? There was no thing as high-speed connections. Dial-up was all there was.

But what happened? As technology grew and spread, one day it became available in your area - so you plugged into it, and voila! Your life has never been the same.

"Upgrading" your intuition is essentially the same process.

You start on "dial-up" - you sit. You breathe. You connect. You ask. You keep on sitting. Breathe (don't forget that one). Sit some more. And then, the guidance starts to flow. Ah, you're getting something now, a feeling, or a voice, or a brief flash of insight.

Wow - how cool was that? You haven't had that much fun since plugging in your 9600 baud modem and seeing an email message take (only) ten minutes to download!

But then, the breakthrough

What happens if you keep practicing? It takes less time to settle, and less time to connect to the same level of depth. The way you connect to your Source of Divine guidance gets more and more familiar. Your questioning process gets streamlined. And, you get better and better at picking up the bits of insight as they come, more attuned to true revealing of guidance, and better at filtering out your own internal noise.

And here's your crucial lesson: As this happens, it's important to recognize it. If you do, then you can "upgrade" your process. If you don't, then you'll keep on living as if you've only got dial-up, when in fact, you've got Divine broadband access just waiting for you.

Recognizing the changes that happen as your abilities grow and deepen allows you to upgrade the processes you use (such as refinements in the way you ask your questions, for example), speed up the entire experience (when you know what to look for and what not to look for, you save a lot of time), and make the shift from having your guidance be a "download" experience into a "streaming" experience, where your connection is always on, information is constantly available, and insights are ever-flowing.

"Is it wrong to stop and ask, rather than just "stream" along?"

Of course not - I still do, quite often. I do especially when working with a client - because I want to be as clear as I can possibly be. But in my day-to-day life, I'm usually streaming my way along, going with the flow as it gets downloaded into my heart.

From one... at.... a... time... to streaming!

I had a friend who used to frequent my mentoring groups. When she began, getting guidance was as far-away an experience for her as standing on top of the Sears tower would be to a Kalahari bushman. She didn't just struggle, she was convinced she was a hopeless case.

But, she stuck with it. She kept showing up. She kept getting help through her stuck points. And, she kept practicing.

Soon, she was getting bits of insight. It wasn't much, but it was something. I always acknowledged her growth, and made sure she did, too. Then, she got more. And more. Each time I held a mentoring group, she was there. And each time, she seemed to be getting better.

And then one day, she showed up at a group, and it was clear she had "upgraded to Divine broadband." She was clear and confident, and rather than stopping to ask in her heart each time, she spoke and acted as if all the information she needed was "up on a screen" right in front of her.

Persistence is the key

Having free-flowing intuition doesn't have to be a pipe dream. If you practice, and practice persistently, "Divine broadband" will most likely become available in your area, really soon. ;-)
