If you are interested in building muscle mass, there are many articles, books, videos, magazines, and more out there that are full of information on how to do it. However, many of these information sources are actually full of myths about how to build muscle mass. If you really want to build up your mass, you need to be able to know the truth from the myths. So, lets take a look at the most common myths floating around when it comes to being able to build muscle mass.

Myth #1 - Lifting Heavy Weights is the Best Route - Sadly, many people get caught up in this myth when they want to build muscle mass. Sure, lifting heavy is a great way to build your self up and it is essential from time to time. However, you dont want to only use heavy lifting to build up your muscle mass. So, avoid making heavy lifting your only routine if you want to build yourself up.

Myth #2 - Use the Entire Range of Motion to Build Muscles - Many people also believe the myth that you have to use your entire range of motion in an exercise in order to build up your muscles. This is wrong as well. The truth is that you dont always have to go through the whole range of motion in order to build muscle mass. Using full range can be good some of the time, but you should also do some reps that include partial range of motion as well.

Myth #3 - Eating All Protein Will Help You Build Muscle Mass - Sure, protein is important if you want to build muscle mass. However, eating all protein is not going to help you build up mass faster. It is important that you make sure that you have a well rounded diet and you really only need to make sure that about 10-15% of your diet is protein. So, dont think that you have to go crazy with the protein in order to build muscle mass.

Myth #4 - Working Out Everyday is Best - Working out is definitely important, but the idea that you have to keep pumping iron everyday is just a myth. In fact, youll actually see better results when you start taking some time to rest in between workouts. Some people find that resting for a day works and others take about 2-4 days. Usually you shouldnt work your muscles again until you are about half a pound heavier than before if you really want to build muscle.

So, make sure that you keep the truth about building muscle mass in mind. Its time to forget all these myths and learn how you can really build muscle mass today.
